Definition of Simple, Compound, Complex sentences with Examples -

⭐⭐⭐ Structure বা Sentence ৰ গঠন ৰীতিৰ ওপৰত ভিত্তি কৰি Sentence অক তিনি ভাগত ভাগ কৰা হয়। যেনে -

1. Simple Sentence - সৰল বাক্য।

2. Compound Sentence - যৌগিক বাক্য

3. Complex Sentence - জটিল বাক্য

⭐⭐⭐ এটাই মাথাে Finite Verb (সমাপিকা ক্রিয়া) থকা sentence অক Simple Sentence বােলে। যেনে—

In spite of his poverty, he is honest.

⭐⭐⭐ দুটা বা তাতােধিক Simple Sentence নাইবা Co-ordinate Clause, Co-ordinating conjunction ৰ দ্বাৰা লগলাগি এটি ডাঙৰ Sentence গঠিত হােৱাকে Compound Sentence বােলে। যেনে—

He is poor but honest.

⭐⭐⭐ যি Sentence অত এটা Principal Clause or Main Clause আৰু এটা বা তাতােধিক Sub-ordinate Clause, Sub-ordinating Conjunction ৰে লগলাগি থাকে, তেনে Sentence ক Complex Sentence বােলে৷ যেনে—

Though he is poor, yet he is honest.

⭐⭐⭐ মনত ৰাখিবলগীয়া :- কোনাে sentence simple sentence কৰিবলৈ হলে Infinitive বা participle আদিৰ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰি এটাই মাথােন Finite Verb কৰিব লাগে। যেনে -

I order that she should do the work. (complex)

= I order her to do the work. (simple)

When he finished the work, he left for home. (complex)
= Having finished the work, he left for home. (simple)

⭐⭐⭐ কোনাে sentence অক compound sentence কৰিবলৈ হ'লে co-ordinating conjunction এটাৰ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব লাগে। যেনে -

In spite of his hard work, he failed. (simple)

He worked hard but failed. (compound)

⭐⭐⭐ কোনাে sentence অক complex sentence কৰিবলৈ হ'লে Sub-ordinating Conjunction এটাৰ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব লাগে। যেনে-

The earth is round and we can prove it. (compound)

We can prove that the earth is round. (complex)
